Second Time Around
Love in your 40s can be both scary and fulfilling. You have learned some things about yourself along the way, you are much wiser and know better what works for you. This journey requires honest self-reflection and solitude.
The following steps are necessary to find true love and happiness:
* acknowledge the mistakes - own up to the poor decisions you've made and learn from them
so they don't become a habit
* forgive yourself - it is impossible to forgive others until you let yourself "off the hook";
forgiveness frees y-o-u
* allow the wounds to heal - time, meditation or prayer and talking with a trusted friend can
be a major step in finding the peace that will reduce the effects of the wounds; not magically
remove them
* move forward - this won't be successful until the other steps have been completed; this part
often takes the longest and is often the most risky because you are vulnerable - trust what you've
learned
Intimacy is an important part of any relationship but requires full honesty; allowing the true you to be seen will yield more than you expected.
Let It Go
your future short-changed by re-living past mistakes
dreams unfulfilled because you can't see past your current situation
wanting love but too afraid to surrender your heart and be vulnerable
time to get up and get on with it

Love gives value
The One
tired of foolish games
empty promises
lonely nights filled with careless whispers
too much time wasted in "blurred" faces
treasure "looted" by pirates in business suits and luxury cars
or the "au naturale" who rejects status yet struggles to find his "place"
feeling like produce at the end of its "shelf life"
Have I missed you? Were your repulsed by my appearance? Was I handled too much?
Would you select me in spite of my flaws?
I began to lose hope of being rescued-but there you were-looking for hidden treasure
You saw my blemishes - yet you understood my value and purpose
You are the one!

New Beginning . . .
"Faith is not the absence of fear but a commitment to trust."
Today marks the beginning of a new journey as I share my gift with you. Each gift is measured in accordance with the ability of the recipient. We are all unique and not expected to be exact in our expression. Thank you for sharing in this process with me and to all that support me there are no words to equate the depths of my gratitide.
